I purchased Pixel 3 when there was an offer 'Happy birthday to Fi! 50% off Pixel 3 & 3XL Birthday with Activation'. I received the phone and also activated Fi. But after a month, I received a mail that a charge is being made because you did not activate Google Fi. I was confused, called customer care and was told that I used a different email id to activate which I did not realize until then. When I purchased the phone, all my details I provided ( number being transported, home address, my name ) are all still the same used to activate the phone except for the fact that I used a different gmail address ( which also belongs to me). Also there is hardly any difference in my two email addresses which shows that it was not done on purpose but was just a mere oversight on my part. Also, I was so excited to use my new phone that I hardly waited to move my number to Fi, instead activated it well within the 30 day period. The customer care does not help me. They keep reading me the promotion terms again and again. If they are that concerned about the email id, as a user, i would expect some kind of validation at the time of activation on the device or atleast notify me beforehand. How would a user remember all of the terms and conditions when there are days gap between making a purchase and receiving the phone? This is riduculous. I feel disappointed and scammed into buying Google Pixel.
