I saw the Google Pixel 3 was available, and started to navigate the UI. Then I saw Google has a carrier service, Google Fi, and I was playing with the purchase options to see if I could afford the Pixel 3.
I can't.
Then the next morning I have a lot of transactions coming off my account, Google drained a total of $220 from my checking account which was unauthorized. I contacted support (which was fucking hard since apparenty there's no humans working at Google customer service) and asked for a refund. They said that's a known issue and I had $17 left on my bank account on a Monday morning. They said it would take 10 business days fir the money to show back up.
Eventually the refund was processed, but they only returned $170 and kept $50 God knows why. Now I'm having the hardest time to find a human employee I can talk/chat with to resolve this annoying issue.
It's not enough that:
1. It's a known issue (then why isn't the bug fixed before you release it to the public?
2. It drained my whole bank account and I spent a very hard week counting coins to eat lunch and dinner
3. It took over a week to get my money back
4. Not all of my money is back
5. It's so frustrating not having a real person to assist me with this, the interface is so complicated to open a support ticket that it makes me nervous.

I cancelled Project fi service on Sep 5 2018. They informed that a credit of $15.98 will be credited by December 22nd, 2018. But till now (May 2019), i didn't get the amount and i am not getting proper response on this. They just delay and trying to cheat like local cheap. Very horrible experience. Anyone has any ideas?

I'm having smilar issue. The refund is not a option according to cus service . and was emailed a correspondance stating that they had no refund option and wouldnt disput tje cjarge back so if I google need to be better than this....

I would like to know how to get a human who can actually help as well as I'm in a similar situation with my cancel of the Pixel 4 XL preorder, which Google screwed up. All I get is the runaround from their support; I didn't even get a support case number yesterday when I called in. They then charged me against the wrong PayPal agreement which caused my checking account to overdraft, despite creating a new agreement for that in PayPal that had the correct payment method.

Also, expect any supervisor you get to be completely useless. Google doesn't give them power to do anything without emailing a dozen different teams, none of whom you can speak to directly.
