My Pixel 4 XL wireless charging stopped working. It used to work with my Google stand and Mophie.

I had been charging my Pixel 4 XL on my Pixel stand, but recently that quit working.  I tried to charge it wirelessly on my Mophie, which used to work but doesn't anymore.  Plugging my wired charger into the same power strip works fine.  Does the Pixel 4 XL have some setting that tells it not to charge wirelessly?
What should I try next?

Hello Peter Barzdines,

I suggest you reach out to Google's 1:1 Support for assistance with this charging issue. They'd be able to have a closer look into the issue and advise you accordingly.

Please let us know how you get on.

I have just spent about 30 minutes on chat support with Google. In my case I have a Pixel 4, and the latest Pixel 4 wireless charger. This charger was working fine until yesterday. It charges my Samsung S7 device just fine. Just not the Pixel 4 anymore. I have done a "forget" of the Pixel Stand, and cleared cache and data, and re-set up the pixel stand. No difference.

Pixel 4 XL having the same issues here. It used to charge wirelessly without issue on a Pixel Stand and Morphie wireless chargers, then suddenly stopped charging unless the phone is forced into the charger.

Same issue here. Just got another Pixel 4xl, because of issues with my first Pixel 4xl. Not charging wirelessly at all. Not sure what to do at this point. Investing in a while bunch of wireless chargers around home and a qi charging cradle for my car, made since since everyone else at home has an iphone that supports wireless charging. But now I can't use them.

Ok more tests run  if others can try this as well.   I think its heat..   if the phones been off for 5 min or if phone is on and left alone for a hour +  so it goes to sleep it starts working

I am having the same issue with my 4XL

At first I thought is was my pixel stand but I tried a new stand and other new wireless chargers but it failed to charge on any of them - The chargers all work fine, even the original pixel stand as they charge other phones with no issues.

I spent 2 consecutive days talking with Google support trying everything that was suggested but nothing worked - They have now decided to replace my 4XL under warranty.

Just to add...

I received my replacement phone today and it is till on Android 10 and everything is working as it should.

I am hesitant to update this to 11 so will be leaving things as they are for now

I'll tell you first, I am Japanese so I'm NOT good at English.

1. With the Pixel on the wireless charger, press the center of the screen firmly with your finger.

2. In some cases, the charging lamp will light up. If so, proceed to the next step.

3. Twist the device slightly.

4. Place the Pixel back on the charger. ...Mysteriously, Pixel is charged!

This is the solution only for me. Be careful if you imitate.

S Kamyu TY.  Whilst Pixel 4XL is on the Google Wireless Charger, I pressed the middle of the phone firmly for about 5 seconds and it started working as you stated S Kamyu.  I have no idea why this worked but seems to of fixed it and the Phone is now charging.  Lets hope it stays this way.

Same thing with my Pixel 4. It will start charging but after a 2-3% increase it will stop and act like it's not on the charger anymore. I'm not using the Pixel Stand, but I have tried with two Spigen wireless chargers that used to work well, so it's definitely not a charger issue. A reboot did not fix the problem.

@S Kamyu: Thank you! Somehow, that actually worked. I am... stunned.
