Hangout incoming/outgoing calls don't seem to connect anymore. Anyone else having this issue? 1 Recommended Answer 9 Replies 6 Upvotes
For the past few days, wether I try to make or receive a call via hangout on the computer I can hear the other party but they can't hear me.
On an outgoing call I can hear the ringing sound still playing and overlapping the voice coming from the other party, even though they picked up and started to say "hello" a few times. On an incoming phone call, I can hear them but all they hear is a beeping sound and they can't hear me.
I tested all of my hardware, microphone, speakers, webcam etc.. it is all setup properly and works fine when i'm on a video call. Simply not when it's a phone call via hangout on the computer/web.

Same issue. I even tried it on another PC, same problem experienced. Mine started yesterday, 7/29/2020. I have Google Fi cell# and Google voice number (linked to my 2nd cell #).

A friend and I have the same issue. Tried many different things for the past 24 hours to no avail. Also using https://hangouts.google.com/

I was able to get this to work after several days by following the suggestions on this post over in the Hangouts support: https://support.google.com/hangouts/thread/61818476?hl=en&msgid=62189910
