I would imagine it would too, as long as Google Fi doesn't have any arbitrary rules barring their devices from accessing the full partner tower's capabilities confirm this?

I bought the Pixel 3 specifically for band 71 (600 Mhz) and Ireceived my Pixel 3 XL yesterday, but I've not seen my phone connect to T-Mobile's band 71 yet.  I use Signal Spy Pro and I have forced  carrier changes, but I have never connected to Band 71.  It has been less than a day and it is provisioned in the Harrisburg, PA area but nothing yet.  Don't need to update anything???

The pixel 3 does support Band 71, just may mean you havent encountered a tower with that yet

I am so so happy that the Pixel 3 XL can connect to band 71. That is the only reason I upgraded from Pixel 2XL because it wasn't compatible due to Band 71 just becoming available. Band 71 is very important and helpful because it covers several Miles with 1 tower plus it propagate through brick walls very easily.  People in rural areas can now benefit from the competition and now have a choice. T mobile is doing a good job with the speed of turning on service.
