Google Cancelled My Preorder without Warning

My original order was cancelled without warning and the shipping date, cost of the phone, and even the deal I got on the storage was denied to me. The reason I pre-ordered was to get the upgraded storage deal and the quick shipping. Now my order is going to arrive in late October. The person I spoke with said he could expedite the shipping but gave no code or guarantee of this other than "we will talk to the shipper to expedite it" and then assured me someone else from the escalation team would contact me. The escalation team only made sure I could place a new order but did nothing else to help. I'm very sad and disappointed about the whole thing.

I was told the payment information was not working. When I checked it, everything was fine and I didn't even receive any failed attempts from Google. The Fi rep I chatted with told me to check for any notifications on the payments site and when I told him there were none, he just told me to re-place the order.

We all know that google wont help their customers. That means they would have to spend resources helping people. Don’t be silly.

Same thing happened to me. Google is doing a major bait/and-switch here. When people are paying up to $2K for a phone you think they could at least follow through with their word of pre-order customers. That was clearly not your fault.

I wonder how many people they do this to?

It may be a screw up but it's not a bait and switch. I used this promo and it went flawlessly.
