The coverage map says I'm in a 3G coverage area. I know I get both AT&T and sub-par Verizon in my area. I am currently with Verizon but relying on my home WiFi for service indoors. My mother who lives in the same house uses AT&T.
I tryed to take advantage of the Cyber Monday deal with 50% credit back when buying a Pixel 4. GoogleFi would not let me complete my perchance when I *saved* my address stating I was not in a coverage area. I have tryed multiple times in the past year to switch to GoogleFi but had the same experience.

Note that Google FI does not use either Verizon or AT&T towers, so the "not covered" message may be accurate. How is T-Mobile coverage in your area?

Joe's question on T-Mobile coverage is important, as Google Fi uses T-Mobile to maintain the subscriber's main phone number, and can't provide initial service to an area where T-Mobile doesn't have a rate center, or an area to which they can assign or activate phone numbers.

For existing Google Fi customers traveling through that area, they will have service perhaps through Sprint, US Cellular, or via roaming agreements, but unless T-Mobile actually provides service there someone can't become a customer.

Hi Heather,

I am not endorsing this workaround but some users have posted a solution whereby they list another address nearby that does qualify for T-Mobile service in order to activate Google Fi and then later change their billing address to their correct physical address.

The only reason I am considering GoogleFi is because it advertised it uses all 3; Verizon, AT&T, and Sprint towers.  I know of nobody in my area that uses t-moble.

Heather, the three cellular networks Google Fi uses is T-Mobile, Sprint and US Cellular.  On occasion, a designed for Google Fi phone might roam on Verizon or AT&T depending on roaming agreements in an area.
