No details at all about connection speeds internationally. If 3G or throttled, service is worthless. 0 Recommended Answers 3 Replies 0 Upvotes

I cannot find anything on the Google website about connection speeds for Google Fi internationally. If roaming agreements with carriers in these 170+ countries only allow for 3G speed or are throttled because you’re not a contract carrier with their service, Google Fi is worthless. I would like actual specifics to what the connection speeds will be when traveling internationally.

They are not throttled, you shoul dbe getting 3g speeds. I am not sure that google publishes the speeds publicly

I have traveled all over Europe with FI and have generally had LTE speeds.

I assumed Google Fi wouldn’t/can’t publish connection speeds per se, but am I correct in assuming they still use the T-Mobile and/or Deutsche telecom roaming agreements?  I’m in Indonesia right now (using my T-Mobile SIM) and the connection speeds are suboptimal. I’ve used local SIM in other Asian travels but it precludes me from phone number verification when I need it.
