Am I able to set a group data limit like 5gb so that no one ever exceeds this? And after these 5gb will everyone still be able to send texts or call, just without fast internet browsing, or is the data totally shut off?

Hey James - You can set notifications for limits and alerts for data usage but not pausing just data after a certain amount used. Please leave feedback in the Fi app with this feature request.

Yes, you can. Use the Datally app and set a daily limit for your data use.

Hi.  An app is not really needed.  Just go into the FI app, device management and set a warning limit.  When the desired amount of data has been reached you can then pause data for that device through the Fi app.  It can be unpaused at any time.

BTW, I have been using FI since its inception using the Nexus and Pixel phones.  I have traveled most of the world and Fi does what it says it will do.  I get a welcome message from the country I have entered and notice that Fi is being set up for that country.  Same rate through most of the world.  Using wifi will optimize your Fi experience and Google establishes a VPN to any wifi you connect to.  If it cannot establish a VPN, you get a warning for any sensitive sites you attempt to enter.  If the site security really is poor, Fi will not let you connect for your own safety and security.  Wifi minimizes data usage.  Fi had become exceptional at using wifi for voice calls and texts via most apps I know.
