Google fi is running a huge scam. I bought my pixel 3 xl,then I saw this awesome deal where I could get a $799 credit of I buy a second. I messaged the fi support and asked if I were to buy a pixel 3 then would I get $799 credit. They assured me yes. Then after the 45 days of wait period, I kept messaging Google fi. After 6 times, they finally told me they denied my credit!!!! Citing that I bought one phone on Google store and the other on Google fi store!!!! How would I know which is which and what that rule is! I think this is a awesome case for class action lawsuits. I will certainly be consulting an attorney tomorrow.

AS far as I read at the time, the terms(fine print) of the promotions clearly stated that both phones had to be purchased at same time and at the same vendor that offered the promotion (Fi or Google Store).

Google Store and Google Fi operate as separate entities. Its stupid....i know....but nothing can be done for you, i am afraid.

Yet....they ship from the exact same warehouse and address.  Fi just takes 3x as long to do so.

This same exact thing happened to me. I ample evidence that the original ads didn't specify the store, the support people assured me i qualified for the credit and even after the purchase, assured me i would soon have the credit, only doing a 180 months and months after the purchase. i does indeed feel like a scam and I am currently looking to gauge the interest in a class action. Get at me if you are interested.
