Many of you may or may not already know this, but, as per the linked article below, T-Mobile's acquisition of Sprint has been officially approved and it is for sure happening. Of course, it will take years for T-Mobile to fully absorb Sprint and do any changes/cut-overs that are needed, but, I'm very, very curious how Google Fi plans to adjust to this change, if at all?

As an MVNO, by nature, the more large sources of coverage, the better. I know they won't technically be losing Sprint, but, there will be fewer options now. With Altice Mobile now coming out of the woodworks as an MVNO with AT&T and others, it looks like there is going to be a big shift in the MVNO market.

How does Google Fi plan to adjust and stay on top of the curve? Are you going to replace Sprint's placeholding with another network, or are you just going to allow T-Mobile to pick up that slack? Honestly, I think you should partner with Verizon (if possible). Having Verizon coverage, with T-Mobiles vastly expanding coverage, and the rural coverage of US Cellular would make Google Fi absolutely dominate. Hands down, no questions asked.

No one here will know with any certainty what might happen but for the foreseeable future, there should be no changes of note to be worried about.

What will most likely happen. I just joined Fi and love the service. i am worried about having to get another phone and move out again.

Can someone please provide some knowledge on this hoping not to lose google fi.

With that being said I like the service so far only being on it for a few days. I kind of hoping they may get service off Verizon as well to keep three carriers or att. Even getting service off another network might help being sprint and tmobile will be one giant network.

Kind like the idea of a backup network in the event something happens. or in a weak coverage area.

Hello Michael - I don't think you need to worry. Google Fi will be around for a while..even after the probable Sprint/T-mobile merger.

well does that mean it will stay even after or close up. I hate to see a good service die over something simple like this.
