See your current data usage
You can keep track of your current data usage and how many days are left in your billing cycle so there are no surprises on your next billing statement. You'll also get alerts when you close to or hit your monthly data budget.
You can add the Project Fi widget to your home screen to have your data usage on hand at all times.
Here's how to see your estimated data usage in Project Fi:
- Open the Project Fi website or app .
- Go to the Account tab.
- At the top of the screen, you'll see your current data usage.
- To see your daily breakdown, select View details or View details .
- If you've gone over your monthly data budget, you can see your additional data charges by going to Overview > Extras this cycle so far.
The information on the widget and the Project Fi app is updated in real-time. Real-time data is only available for your own talk & text device with Android 7.0 (Nougat) and the most recent version of the Project Fi app. It takes about a day for your data usage to show up in the Project Fi website. International data charges may be further delayed.
Keep in mind that your current data usage is a live estimate, and might be adjusted throughout your billing cycle. Your bill always reflects the total amount of data you used each month.
With Project Fi, you’re charged a rate of $10 per GB for data, no matter how little or how much data you use. As a part of your service plan, you prepay for a certain amount of data every month (your data budget), but you pay the same rate even if you go over that amount. If you don’t use the entire amount, you’re credited for what you don’t use.
