Manage your child's Google Account with Family Link

Parents in your family group can use Family Link to manage account settings in your child's Google Account.

Monitor Google Account settings

Tip: Family Link’s parental supervision services may vary depending on your child's device.

Important: Family Link’s purchase approval settings only apply to purchases made through Google Play’s billing system.

Google may save some activity to your child's Google Account, based on the activity settings you chose for your child.

If you change the settings to stop Google from saving your child’s activity, some Family Link features and other Google services may not work.

Choose your child's Google Activity settings

You and your child can change your Google activity settings. You can also change your settings so only Parents can manage activity controls.

  3. Tap Controls and then Account settings and then Privacy settings and then Account data settings.
  4. From "Activity controls," you can allow your child to change these settings.

  • Whether or not your child can control their own account settings doesn't change the settings themselves. We recommend parents make sure the settings are correct after they change this control.
  • You can also manage your child's account when you click on your child's name at g.co/YourFamily.

  3. In the top right, tap More More.
    • To find your child’s activity, tap Details.
    • To remove your child’s activity, tap Delete.

Important: These options are only available if your child is under 13 (or the applicable age in your country) and hasn't chosen to manage their own account.
