Linking your Target account to Google Express

If you have an account with Target.com, you can choose to link it to Google Express for a more personalized shopping experience. Plus, if you have a REDcard associated with your Target account, you’ll also be eligible for an exclusive discount.

Things to keep in mind

You can link your Target.com account on desktop, mobile web, the Google Express app, or Google Home app. After your account is linked, it can take a few hours for your customized recommendations or REDcard exclusive discount to show.

Be sure your REDCard is added to your Target account directly before linking it on Google Express.

How to unlink your accounts

At anytime, you can unlink your Target.com account and continue shopping as before, but you won’t see suggestions for Target items on Google Express.

  • Click Settings under the menu icon
  • Click Target account
  • Click UNLINK ACCOUNT

It can take a few hours for customized recommendations to stop appearing. Note that Target may still continue to use your order history from before the accounts were unlinked in accordance with their Privacy Policy.

REDcard™ exclusive discount

If you link your Target.com account to Google Express, and if you have saved your debit or credit REDcard as a payment method in your Target.com account, you will receive a REDcard exclusive discount on Target purchases made through Google Express. The price of the item shown on Google Express includes the REDcard exclusive discount. The discount is applied to the price of the item before Google applies any other applicable discounts. REDcard exclusive discount may not available for all products. Discount amounts may vary. Your order summary will display the amount of the REDcard exclusive discount applied to your order. The Target Debit Card and Target Credit Card cannot be used to make purchases on Google Express, and purchases made with the TargetTM Mastercard® will not receive the regular REDcard 5% discount in addition to the REDcard exclusive discount. If you remove your debit or credit REDcard from your Target.com account or if you unlink your Target.com account from Google Express, the REDcard exclusive discount may not be applied to your purchase. This discount cannot be applied to previous orders, and Target or Google may change or discontinue the REDcard exclusive discount at any time.
