Linking your Walmart account to Google Express

If you have an account with Walmart.com, you can choose to link it to Google Express for a more personalized shopping experience on both Google and Walmart.

After linking, you may see suggestions based on things you’ve bought from Walmart:

In addition, Walmart may use your Walmart order history on Google Express to recommend products for you on Walmart.com, the Walmart app, and in emails, for example.

Follow these steps

  1. On the Walmart store page on Google Express (desktop or mobile web)
    1. Find and click on Walmart on google.com/express
    2. Click "Walmart account"
    3. Enter your Walmart login information, or create a new Walmart account
  2. On your settings page on Google Express or the Google Express app
    1. Click Settings under the menu icon
    2. Click LINK ACCOUNT next to “Link your Walmart account”
  3. After placing your order
    1. Under “Link your Walmart account,” click “Link account”
    2. Enter your Walmart login information, or create a new Walmart account

Things to keep in mind:

  • It may take a few hours for your customized recommendations to show up after you link your accounts
  • You can link your accounts on desktop, mobile web, the Google Express app, or Google Home app

How to unlink your accounts

You can unlink your Walmart.com from Google Express anytime. Continue shopping as before, but you won’t see suggestions on Google Express based on what you’ve bought from Walmart.com or in-store.

  • Click Settings under the menu icon
  • Click “Walmart account”
  • Click UNLINK ACCOUNT
  • It may take a few hours for new customized recommendations to no longer appear. Note that you may still get recommendations based on things you bought from Walmart on Google Express before you unlinked your accounts.
