Overview
Starting ECFS version 3.8.1.2 (released on December 2022), a new event was introduced to the system.
The event message says "NFS Probe Failed" with an error severity.
What the event checks?
The EMS checks the VIP for nfs, mountd and nlockmgr operations.
When the event is raised?
If the above operations within the last 60 seconds, when EMS checked them.
When should I do?
If you see a single instance of that event and NFS service is up, you can ignore the event as it might be transient.
If the event is raised more than once, you probably have an issue with your NFS service.
In that case, reach out and open a case with elastifile-support@google.com and include the output of the following command from the EMS:
