Overview
The Elastifile Health Check Script validates the system configurations, features and settings.
The script is developed in order to eliminate customers’ cases that are caused by unaligned configurations from the Elastifile best practices.
The script should raise warnings/ errors based on the Elastifile best practices and guidelines.
Script Execution
1. Login by SSH to the EMS machine
2. Change to the /tmp/ directory
sudo su -
cd /tmp/
3. Download the script tarball file
wget https://storage.googleapis.com/elastifile-software-repo/scripts/ecfs_health_check.tar.gz
or
gsutil cp gs://elastifile-software-repo/scripts/ecfs_health_check.tar.gz .
4. Extract the tar ball
tar xvfz ecfs_health_check.tar.gz
5. Execute the script
python ecfs_health_check.py -p <ADMIN_PASSWORD>
Script Outcomes
1. Shell print in an ordered way
2. Uploaded JSON file to Google-Elastifile Support
3. Latest JSON report is kept on EMS under /elastifile/emri/healthcheck/
