Transfer data between Google Workspace accounts

As an administrator, you can transfer your users' data—email, calendars, documents, sites, and more—from an existing account to a new one. You can also choose to merge data from several accounts into one account. In some cases, you transfer the users' data. In other cases, users move their own data.

Note: If you transfer a lot of data all at once, it might take some time for the data to appear.

Transfer data for multiple users

Administrators who need to transfer data for multiple users between Google Workspace accounts can use these methods:

	Ways to transfer data to a Google Workspace account
Gmail	To migrate emails, choose one of the following options: Migrate from Gmail or webmail to Google Workspace Migrate email to Google Workspace with the data migration service
Google Drive	In the Admin console, you can let users in your organization move their own files, or other users’ files, from My Drive or shared drives to other shared drives: Move content to a shared drive If someone leaves your company, you can transfer the files they own in Drive to someone else: Transfer Drive files to a new owner
Google Workspace	If you have a customer migration of 1,000 users or more, you can migrate data from one Google Workspace environment to another using Google Workspace Migrate. Migrate data from Google Workspace

Transfer data as a user or member of a small team

If you’re an end user or a member of a small team, you can transfer your own data using these methods:

	Ways to transfer data to a Google Workspace account
Google Analytics	Reorganize your properties in Analytics including moving them from one account to another: Move a property
Google Calendar	Transfer your own calendars to another owner in a new Google Workspace account: Transfer Google calendars or events You can download calendars in your My calendars list or share individual calendars with users in a new account: Export your Google calendar
Google Contacts	You can export your contacts to a CSV file and then transfer them to your new account by importing them: Export and back up contacts Import your contacts
Google Drive	Download—You can download Drive files to your computer and move them to Drive in your new Google Workspace account. Export and import—Use the Drive API. Share: You can individually share files with people in your new account. To access personal Drive files from your new Google Workspace account, share these files with your new account. Sharing is faster than migrating, and it allows you to access the Drive files from either account. Transfer Transfer ownership of Drive files to someone else Copy and transfer content from your school Google Account to another account. With edit and copy permissions, you can copy and transfer Drive files in your Shared with me folder.
Google Sites	A site owner can copy their site to their new account and share it with other users: Move a site

Other Google products	You can export and download data from other Google products, such as Google My Maps and Photos. Then, you can move the data to the new account: Download your Google data
