Go on a solo expedition

You can explore virtual-reality (VR) and augmented-reality (AR) expeditions on your own (without a Guide) using a mobile device.

For a VR expedition, you select a destination and explore it virtually as if you were actually there. With AR, you view AR objects as if they were physically in the room with you.

What you need

  • A mobile device
  • Expeditions app
  • An internet connection to download an expedition, but not to go on an expedition
  • (Optional) A Cardboard or Daydream VR viewer
  • (Optional) Selfie sticks for AR mode

Note: Guides place printed markers around the room for leading an AR expedition. You won’t need these in Solo mode.
