Go on a solo tour

You can explore virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) tours on your own (without a Guide) using a mobile device.

With VR, you can select a tour and explore it virtually as if you were actually there. With AR, you can view and walk around AR objects as if they were physically in the room with you

What you need

  • A mobile device with AR capabilities. For details, see Device requirements.
  • Expeditions app
  • An internet connection to download a tour, but not to go on a tour,
  • (Optional) A Cardboard or Daydream VR viewer
  • (Optional) Selfie sticks for AR mode

Note: The Guide will place printed markers around the room before leading an AR tour. You don’t need printed markers in Solo mode.
