Can the teacher see if you are focusing in a different tab during Google class even with off camera?

Can the teachers really see if you are focusing in a different tab during Google Class even though your camera is off? because I once saw a tiktok video where it says that the teachers are inform if you are in a different tab and I've experince this several time because I was on a different tab reading twitter posts while listening to class on the background but everytime I've done this the teacher would speak  out my name and said to read the following question or if I have an answer on the question, is this just a weird coincidence or can the teacher really see if you are in a different tab?

I see that you want to know if your teacher is informed when you're changing tabs while taking class in Google Classroom.

I would like to inform you that your teacher does not have any access/settings to view programs running on your window(computer). Whatever happened was just a coincidence.

yes if your on a tablet or ipad but not if u are in  a pc chrome book ect......
