How do I stop links from opening in faux Safari, change what browser links open???!

Classroom used to open links in Chrome. But this morning, my teacher locked Classroom to take a test, which it opened in a sort of faux Safari. I hate the faux Safari, and I want to default open my links in Chrome! How do I set default browser to Chrome? Is there any way to change what browser that links open? Please help me.

Hi there Evan,

Thanks for reaching out to the community.
Change your default web browser
  1. Choose System Preferences from the Apple () menu.
  2. Click General.
  3. Choose your web browser from the ”Default web browser” pop-up menu. Selecting Chrome

Hello Evan!

Welcome to the Google Classroom Help Community.

When your teacher uses the locked mode for a test or quiz, it still opens in locked Chrome browser. This means it opens in such a way that until you have completed the quiz, you cannot open any other tabs or windows.

The locked mode does not change the default settings you have for other links- it only applies to the quiz.
