My links to other slides in my Google Slides presentation don't work once I publish it to Classroom?

I created a Google Slides presentation where some of the slides are linked to other slides in the presentation. I published it to the web and shared it as a material in my Google Classroom. When it's opened in my Google Classroom the links to the other slides no longer work. They do still work if I open it in Slides. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Hi Tracy,

Welcome to the Google Classroom Community.

I understand that when you have created a Slides presentation for your class and inserted links in it, they do not seem to work.

Lets try adding the presentation again in the assignment to check if the issue persists. To do so, please try the steps below:

1. Go to classroom.google.com.
2. Click the Class > Classwork.
3. Click on Assignment > View Assignment.
4. To attach an item:
Please select under your work > click Create > select the slide.

In case the above does not help, please try removing the hyperlink and re-adding them in the presentation. To do so please try the steps below:

1. Click and copy the link.
2.You can select the option of removing the link or edit link.
3. Re-add them in the presentation.

Also, It'd be helpful to know if you're trying to hyperlink in the slides within one presentation through the same steps as below:

1. As you're directed to slides.google.com from Classroom.
2. While hyperlinking in a slide, and selecting a text to hyperlink, are you able to see a pop up which directs you with the options:
- pasting a link from Slides in other locations within the presentation?

I look forward to hearing from you.

Best,
