Parent/guardian access to Google Classroom for their student(s)

Question

I am an intervention Specialist and a mother of three boys. As a mother, I want to be able to see what my child still needs to work on. I can't do this with a summary. Also some students will submit an assignment when it is not complete. The summary will not let me look at what my student did not complete. I want parent(s)/guardian(s) to have access to their student's assignments, grades, etc. I understand that there is a confidentially issue with the parent(s)/guardian(s) seeing other student's names that are in the class. Why can't the parent(s)/guardian(s) view under the People tab be only the teacher(s) and this parent(s)/guardian(s) student?
If it were done this way, it would eliminate the confidentiality issue. 
I realize the parent can just access the information thru their student's login. However, the way I parent is I step back to try to trust the student to do what they need to do. If I had access to what my student is doing I could check up on them without letting them know I am checking on them. And assuming they are doing what they need to do Nothing needs to be said. That student can then feel like they are getting more freedom as they get older.

Unfortunately, that's not currently possible in Google Classroom. If you'd like to see this feature added, please send your feedback directly to the developer team via the '?' button in the lower portion of the classroom screen. They do read all feedback received through that channel and take it into consideration when planning future updates and new features.
