How do I stop receiving unwanted invitations to a Classroom?

I keep receiving email invitations from someone I don't know. The invitation appears to be spam and is sent in Russian. When translated, it says "XXXX@XXX invited you to the class You are entitled to compensation of funds 275 460 rub". I don't know who this is and how they invited me, so is there a way to block them or prevent future unwanted invitations?

Hi Treacle,

Welcome to Google Classroom Help Community.

I suggest you turn off the email notification setting "Invitations to join classes as a student" from the Classroom settings.

Here are the steps:

Go to classroom.google.com.
At the top, click Menu.
Scroll down and click Settings.
Refer to the "Invitations to join classes as a student" notification setting and then click the switch Off.

Further, here is an article on how to customize notification settings in the Classroom.

I also got a lot of such spams. The spammers are exploiting some classroom loopholes.

When I enroll in the course, I can't "report abuse" for the course in the "..." menu (there is only a Move and Unenroll option). Here are the courses so far:

It seems like Google need to close these security holes, but I don't know how to report them (other than this community forum, which I'm not sure Google looks at).

Vilem's answer doesn't work for me. I don't see any option for "Invitations to join classes as a student" in my settings:

Hi there,

Welcome to Google Classroom Help Community.

I appreciate you verifying the settings. I'd suggest you contact your school admin to let teachers and students get email notifications from Classroom and don’t allow emails outside of your school or organization.

Turning off email outside my organization is not an option, for teachers or for students.

Google should fix the loophole in the Classrooms invite that is allowing Russian spammers to do this, or at least give us a way to report abuse.
