Can you archive a assignment in google classroom

I would like to see a way to archive an assignment in google classroom.  Right know all I can do is leave the assignment up in my classroom or delete it.  This would be nice when you have students doing make up work.

Hi Kent,
Archiving a specific assignment isn't currently available in Classroom. The Classroom team is constantly working to improve functionality for teachers, so if that's a feature you'd like to see, please be sure to submit it via the ? and "send feedback" on the bottom right corner of Classroom itself.

This is definitely something I would like to see as well. Having a big long list of old assignments can get very confusing, especially when trying to find one you missed as a student. Archiving would allow the teacher to hide the ones that have been completed by everyone and don't need to be left up.

I just asked the same question. Also, why aren't assignments able to post chronologically by DUE DATE? They just post as you add them, this is VERY messy and confuising!

Hi Laura,

Students and Teachers can view assignments sorted by due date by clicking the 3 horizontal bars in the top left and clicking on either Assignments or Calendar.

I'd like to be able to archive assignments for the purpose of "cleaning up" assignments without actually deleting them.  At the beginning of new grading periods, this would be especially helpful.
