Link a class to your SIS

Before you can export grades for the first time, you have to link your class to the SIS. You only have to link a class once. Only the primary teacher can link a class to the SIS. You can link a new or existing class.

  4. To finish creating your class, enter your class details and then click Create.

Your new class is linked to the SIS.

    • Aspen and Skyward SMS 2.0 and Skyward Qmlativ SIS:
      • Grade categories carry over if the category titles match. If they don't match, your grades might be assigned to a default category or marked as "Uncategorized.”
    • Infinite Campus SIS:
      • When connected with OneRoster 1.1: Grade categories don’t carry over when you export your grades to your SIS. Your grades might be assigned to a default category or marked as "Uncategorized.”
      • When connected with OneRoster 1.2: Grade categories carry over if the category titles match. If they don't match, your grades might be assigned to a default category or marked as "Uncategorized.”
        • If you're not sure which OneRoster version you use, ask your administrator.
    • PowerSchool SIS:
      • Grade categories must be attached to an assignment in order to be exported successfully. Make sure the grade category titles match in Classroom and PowerSchool SIS.
