Randomly select a student

This feature is for teachers and available only on Android and iOS mobile devices.

You can randomly select students for participation in class. You can also skip a student and select them later or mark a student absent.

Select a student

1. On your mobile device, tap Classroom  your class  People .
2. In the top-right corner, tap Student selector .
3. Ask the student shown to participate and tap Next to select another student.
4. (Optional) To skip a student, tap Call Later.
5. (Optional) To mark a student absent, tap Absent.
6. If you want to reset the list, tap Reset  Reset again to confirm.
   After you reset the list, all students are marked Not Picked.
7. (Optional) After you select or skip all students, to start over, tap Start Again.

See who's been selected, skipped, or marked absent

You can see who's been selected or marked absent on the class roster.

1. On your mobile device, tap Classroom  your class  People .
2. In the top-right corner, tap Student selector .
3. At the top, tap Not Picked, Picked, or Absent.
4. In the top-left corner, tap Back or Close to go back to select a student.
