Use the calendars as a teacher

This article is for teachers. Students go here.

For each class, you and your students share a Classroom calendar and a calendar in Google Calendar. If you don't see any calendars for your classes, your administrator probably turned off Calendar for your account.

What can I do with each calendar?

Google Calendar (any device)	Classroom calendar (computer only)
View classwork due dates View class events Add personal reminders that only you see Add events, such as study sessions Note: Anything you add won’t show in the Classroom calendar.	View classwork due dates Click an item to open it in Classroom Note: You can't add anything to the Classroom calendar.

View and add items

You need to sync Google Calendar on your mobile device to use it with the Classroom mobile app. For details, go to Sync Calendar with a phone or tablet.

Note: Items that you assign to individual students appear on your Classroom calendar. They don't appear in Google Calendar.

View assignment due dates

1. Tap Classroom .
2. At the top, tap Menu .
3. Tap Calendar.

4. Tap an assignment or question to open it.

Add class events in Google Calendar

1. Tap Classroom .
2. At the top, tap Menu .
3. Tap Calendar.

4. At the bottom, tap Add   Event .

5. Enter your event details and tap Save.
