Use the calendars as a teacher

You can track assignments, questions, and events in class calendars. For each class, you and your students can see a Classroom calendar and Google Calendar. 

If you don't see any calendars for your classes, your administrator has probably turned off Calendar for your account.

  • On the Classroom calendar, students see their assignments and questions with due dates. 
  • On Google Calendar, students also see events you add, such as exam dates and field trips.

Track assignments on the Classroom calendar

When you create assignments and questions with due dates, they appear on your calendars. You and your students can view them on the Classroom calendar or Google Calendar. To view them on the Classroom calendar: 

  1. Go to classroom.google.com and click Sign In.

    Sign in with your Google Account. For example, you@yourschool.edu or you@gmail.comLearn more.

  2. At the top, click Menu Menu.

    Click Menu

  3. Click Calendar.

    Click Calendar

  4. Select an assignment or question to open it.

  5. (Optional) To view past or future work, next to the date, click Next Next.

  6. (Optional) To see assignments for all your classes, click All classes.
    To see assignments for only one class, click All classes and select the class.

Add and view events in Google Calendar

Add events, such as field trips or exams, in Google Calendar. To see them, students need to open Google Calendar.

If you don't see any calendars for your classes, your administrator has probably turned off Calendar for your account.

  1. Go to classroom.google.com and click Sign In.

    Sign in with your Google Account. For example, you@yourschool.edu or you@gmail.comLearn more.

  2. Click the class and then Classwork. 
  3. Click Google Calendar Google Calendar.
    Click Calendar
