Troubleshoot domain errors

Errors might occur in Classroom when users—students or teachers—are on different domains.
Error messages
Error message | Error occurs when | What to do |
---|---|---|
1 user was not invited. You cannot invite students outside your domain to classes. | A teacher can't invite students in an untrusted domain to join a class. | Check your Classroom and Drive settings. See Whitelist a domain. |
Oops! That code is for a class outside your domain. Please make sure you entered the correct code. | A student in an untrusted domain can’t use a code to join a class in the school domain. | Check your Classroom and Drive settings. See Whitelist a domain. |
This file (These files) cannot be shared with the class due to a problem with your domain settings. Please contact your domain admin. | A teacher or student in an untrusted domain can’t post to the class stream. | Check your Drive settings. See Whitelist a domain. |
