Get the Classroom app

As a teacher or student, you can install the Classroom app on an Android, iOS®, or Chrome OS mobile device. The Classroom app is not available on Windows® mobile devices. On your computer’s browser, you can just sign in to Classroom.

Once you’ve downloaded the Classroom app, sign in and get started as a teacher or a student. Teachers can also review the Classroom mobile app FAQ for more information on class management features.

Managed devices

If your school uses managed Android or Chrome OS devices, students may not be able to install the Classroom app themselves.

If you’re a teacher at a school with managed devices, you may have Google Play for Education access.

  • If you do have access, from your Admin console, you can send the Classroom app to student and teacher devices. You can also send the Google Drive and Docs apps (which includes Docs, Slides, and Sheets). Learn more about how to Send free content to students.

  • If you don’t have access, contact your school’s administrator.

You may need to take similar steps for managed iOS devices. Contact your school’s administrator for more information.
