Work on a practice set assigned to you

Open practice sets the same way you open other assignments. Learn how to see your work for a class.

Get help on a practice set

Some practice sets have resources to help when you’re stuck. You can get help with a specific question, or the overall practice set.

Get help with a specific question:

  1. On your computer, open an assignment practice set.
  2. Next to the question, click Show a hint .
    • The help resource opens.
  3. To close the help resource, click Close .

Get help with the practice set:

  1. On your computer, open an assigned practice set.
  2. At the top right, click to open the "Resource" tray.
  3. Select a resource.

Answer questions

There are four types of questions teachers can include:

  • Short answer: Enter or ink a response.
  • Paragraph: Enter or ink a response.
  • Single-select: Select an answer from a list that drops down.
  • Multi-select: Check the boxes next to your answers.
Use ink to show your work

Important: Anything you ink is visible to the teacher after you click Check. This includes answers you ink before you submit the assignment.

  1. On your computer, go to an assigned practice set.
  2. On the left of the questions, above the progress bar, click Inking .
  3. In the ink pad, use your mouse to draw or write.
  4. To erase your entry, select an option:
    • Click Erase .
    • In the upper right corner of the ink pad, click More  and then Clear content.
Use the math keyboard
  1. On your computer, go to an assigned practice set.
  2. Inside the answer text box, click Insert math formula .
  3. Use the math keyboard that displays to insert special characters.
Tip: If the teacher hasn't used any special math characters, the keyboard doesn't display.
Show your work
You can provide your teacher with more insight about your answer:
  1. On your computer, go to an assigned practice set.
  2. Below the answer, click Show your work.
  3. Provide more information in the text box.
Tip: You can show your work with the ink pad or text, but not both.

Check your answer

You can check your answer immediately for short answer, single-select, and multiple choice questions.

  1. On your computer, go to an assigned practice set.
  2. Answer a short answer, single-select, or multiple choice question.
  3. Next to your response, click Check.
    • When you answer incorrectly, "Try again" displays.
    • You have unlimited attempts to get the correct answer.

Open ended and paragraph questions don't automatically grade. They display the message, "Needs teacher to check."

Tip: When you use the check tool, your answers and your work can be reviewed by your teacher.

Turn in your practice set assignment

  1. On your computer, go to an assigned practice set.
  2. Complete the practice set.
  3. At the top right, click Turn in and confirm.
