App to Extension Transition (July 2017)

As of July 2017, Google is transitioning the Cast for Education Chrome app to a Chrome extension.  

To update the Cast for Education extension:

• New users—Follow the instructions on this page to get started with the Chrome extension. 
• Existing users—Your app will automatically update and become an extension. You may need to accept the extension permissions before you are able to use the extension. To accept the permissions:
  1. Click More   Google Cast for Education is Disabled.
     
  2. Click Accept permissions.
  3. To open the Cast for Education extension, in the Chrome toolbar, click Cast for Education .
