Set up Assignments LTI™ with Moodle

This article is for administrators.

To set up Assignments LTI™ in Moodle:

1. Turn on Google Workspace LTI™ service in Admin Console.
2. Turn on Assignments LTI™ in Moodle:
   1. Turn on Assignments LTI™ as an authorized external tool.
   2. Add Assignments LTI™ to all courses or a specific course.

You may need to ask your Learning Management Systems (LMS) administrator for help.

Turn on Assignments LTI™ as an authorized external tool

1. On your computer, sign in to Moodle as an administrator.
2. Click Site administration Plugins.
3. In “Activity modules,” scroll to find “Manage tools.”
4. In the “Tool URL” field, enter: https://assignments.google.com/lti/register
5. Select Add LTI Advantage Install.
6. In the “Tools” section:
   1. Find the Assignments LTI™ tool.
   2. Click Activate.

Add Assignments LTI™ to all courses

1. On your computer, sign in to Moodle as an administrator.
2. Click Site administration Plugins.
3. In “Activity modules,” scroll to find “Manage tools.”
4. In the “Tools” section:
   1. Find the Assignments LTI™ tool.
   2. Click Edit .
5. In “Tool configuration usage,” select Show in activity chooser and as a preconfigured tool Save changes.

Add Assignments LTI™ to a specific course

1. On your computer, sign in to Moodle as an administrator or a teacher.
2. Select a course.
3. Click More LTI External tools.
4. Find the Assignments LTI™ tool.
5. Turn on Show an activity chooser.
