Delete courses & assignments

When you manage courses and assignments, different Google Workspace for Education accounts have different permissions.

Teachers

Course owners and the primary instructor can delete a course. Co-teachers can delete assignments but can't delete a course.

To delete a course as a teacher:

  1. Go to Google Assignments.
  2. On the right of the course you want to delete, click Course options and then Delete course.

To delete an assignment as a teacher:

  1. Go to Google Assignments.
  2. On the right of the assignment you want to delete, click Assignment options and then Delete assignment.
Co-teachers

Course owners and the primary teacher can delete a course. Co-teachers can delete assignments or leave a course.

To leave a course as a co-teacher:

  1. Go to Google Assignments.
  2. On the right of the course you want to unlink, click Course options and then Leave course.

To delete a course as a co-teacher:

  1. Go to Google Assignments.
  2. On the right of the assignment you want to delete, click Assignment options and then Delete assignment.
Students

Course owners and the primary teacher can delete the course. Students can leave a course.

To leave a course as a student:

  1. Go to Google Assignments.
  2. On the right of the course you want to unlink, click Course options and then Leave course.
