Can you combine projects or add KML files to current projects?

I am trying to combine projects, take one feature from one project and add to another current project, and/or add KML files to exsisting projects. Please help.

Hello Tyson Fredrickson,
I am not completely sure how complex the projects are or what you are trying to do, but you cannot copy a feature from one projects to another.

  1. You could make a copy of an entire Project (typically the one with the most complex features) and build around that copied project (delete, add, modify features).
  2. You can also link, via url, to other projects or kml. However, this tends to ruin the flow of the "Presentation." It will "technically" work, but I find that users start clicking around on the kml; bringing them outside the original presentation into the other project and/or kml. It can become a hot mess for the user.
  3. Combining everything into a single kml via a text editor on a computer and importing the kml into Google Earth Web tends to work best with merging a number of kmls together. However, it is a bit cumbersome to share these files.
In these types of projects, I first storyboard the presentation. As you can imagine from the options above, I is too hard to make changes in the middle of the creation. When I do make changes, I basically have to construct from the start. It goes faster the second and third time:)
