[Ubuntu 10.04]Google Earth has caught signal 11

Google Earth has caught signal 11.
 
 
 
We apologize for the inconvenience, but Google Earth has crashed.
This is a bug in the program, and should never happen under normal
circumstances. A bug report and debugging data have been written
to this text file:

The signal 11 error is easy to fix.
Go to your home folder, open the google earth folder, and then make sure that every file in that folde can be run as a program.
 
You do this by selecting multiple files, then right click, go to permissions, and check the check box close to the bottom of that window that says "Allow executing file as program"
 
do the same with the shortcut on your desktop, and everything should work fine now!

The libfreeimage3 linked in libIGGfx.so is buggy. Installed libfreeimage3, and run "LD_PRELOAD=/usr/lib/libfreeimage.so.3 googleearth"
