Learn about Google Earth projects

You can create customized maps and stories about places around the world with text, photos, and videos. You can also share your maps and stories with others to collaborate.

Create a project with a Google account

Anyone with a Google account can create projects. If you don’t have an account, you can sign up for one here.

Tips:

• Projects must be created on a computer.
• You can use any fully-supported browser like Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Edge.
• Before you start your project, gather any photos or online videos you want to include in your project about places you visited.

Create a project

1. פותחים את Google Earth במחשב.
2. בצד ימין של המסך, לוחצים על 'קובץ' 'פרויקט חדש ב-Drive' 
3. כדי להוסיף שם ותיאור, לוחצים על סמל העריכה .

Tip: To make sharing easier, your changes are automatically saved in Google Drive when you create a project.

Copy an existing project

1. פותחים את Google Earth במחשב.
2. בחלונית הימנית, בוחרים את הפרויקט שרוצים להעתיק.
3. לוחצים על סמל הפעולות הנוספות  יצירת עותק.

Create a KML file

1. פותחים את Google Earth במחשב.
2. בצד ימין של המסך, לוחצים על קובץ קובץ KML מקומי חדש.
3. בוחרים באפשרות הוספת סמן או באפשרות שרטוט דרך או פוליגון.

Tip: A KML file is saved in your computer's browser storage.
