Use a screen reader

You can use Google Earth with ChromeVox, VoiceOver, NVDA, and JAWS. Google Earth works with Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge.

Find keyboard shortcuts

To explore the Google Earth globe, use the arrow keys. To regain functionality of other shortcuts, type ‘g.’ 

Tip: To find the list of shortcuts on Google Earth, type ‘?.’ 

Adjust animation settings

Animations help provide smooth transitions to navigate between different locations on the map. In your settings, you can control the speed of the animations or you can disable them.

Change Dark Mode settings

  1. On your computer, open Google Earth.
  2. On the left, click Tools and then Settings Settings
  3. Under “Application theme," select Dark theme or Light theme.
