Explore Google Earth with Voyager

You can tour the world with a collection of map-based stories with Voyager in Google Earth. Explore topics like travel, culture, nature, and history.

Open Voyager in Google Earth

  1. On your iPhone or iPad, open the Google Earth app Google Earth.
  2. At the top, tap Voyager Voyager.
  3. Choose one of the following categories:
    • Nature
    • Games
    • Layers
    • Street View
    • Culture
    • Travel
    • Education

Start a tour in Google Earth

  1. On your iPhone or iPad, open the Google Earth app Google Earth.
  2. At the top, tap Voyager Voyager.
  3. Choose a category.
  4. Tap a story to find a list of related places across the globe.
  5. At the top, find a 3D view of the location. On the bottom, find pictures or videos of the location. From here, you can:
    • Make the pictures bigger: Tap the Up arrow Up arrow. At the bottom left corner of the photo, tap Full screen Full screen.
    • Find more pictures: If there are multiple pictures, tap the Up arrow Up arrow. Then, tap the arrows next to the photo.
  6. To move between locations, at the bottom right, tap the arrows.
    • Your story might have other chapters to view. To find other chapters, at the top right, tap More More and then Table of contents.
  7. To return to the category selection, at the top left, tap Back Back.

Choose Layers in Google Earth

You can find info like global temperatures, rainfall, and wind speeds. You can also find places around the world in 3D.

  1. On your iPhone or iPad, open the Google Earth app Google Earth.
  2. At the top, tap Voyager Voyager.
  3. Choose the Layers category.
  4. Tap a story.
