Use Street View in Google Earth

You can use Street View to explore places more closely. Zoom in to check out buildings, landmarks, bridges, and more.

Tip: Street View images aren’t available everywhere. Discover where Street View is available.

Open Street View

  1. On your computer, open Google Earth.
  2. Click a place or search for a location.
  3. At the bottom, click Pegman Pegman.
  4. Select a highlighted area.

Tip: If areas are highlighted in blue, you can find images of those places in Street View.

Change your view

  • To change your view: Drag the screen.
  • To return to a north-facing view: At the bottom right, click the compass .
  • If you move to a new area, white arrows appear onscreen. Click an arrow to move in that direction.

Zoom in or out

  • For a closer view: At the bottom right, click Zoom in Zoom in.
  • For a farther view: At the bottom right, click Zoom out Zoom out.

Report a problem

To report an image quality issue or request blurring for Street View imagery:

  1. On your computer, open Google Earth.
  2. Click a place or search for a location.
  3. At the bottom, click Pegman Pegman.
  4. Select a highlighted area.
  5. At the bottom left, click Report a problem.
  6. Fill out the form and click Submit.

Exit Street View

To exit Street View, at the top left, click Back Back.
