You can edit, compare, and view all designs generated in your study.
Important:
- Editing any design will create new ones based on the original. To edit designs generated in your study, adjust specific blocks, create parks, and add or remove floors from the Map, go to the Explore and Details pages. From the Explore or Details page, click Change this design.
- When viewing details about a building or block on the map, click Change program & create more options.
- To change parts of your design, select a building, block or park on the map and select the type of change you want to make.
Adjust a program block
To adjust the program block, select a block then Adjust Program. Blocks will be re-generated with multiple options to match the new target Gross Floor Areas (GFAs). Blocks won’t exceed zoning max Flooring Area Ratio (FAR) if requirements exist.
To adjust block programs:
- Drag the slider or enter specific values to change target GFAs.
- To restore all original GFA values, click Reset to Original.
- To create a park by selecting a block with buildings, click Convert to Park.
- To undo changes by selecting a block, park or building, click Revert Changes.
Add or remove floors
To make changes to buildings, select the building you want to edit:
- Select Add Floor or Remove Floor.
- Changes will be reflected in the “Changes” tab.
- If you add or remove floors to a building, you won’t be able to adjust the program for that block or convert it to a park.
Review changes to your design
Based on your adjustments, changes will be reflected in a design's program for each block and across the whole design. You can use this information to understand what your new designs will look like.
- To review changes for a design, check the Changes tab.
- To undo changes, click X.
Create and select designs
- When your changes are final, click Create New Design.
- New designs will be generated in the “Designs” tab.
- Select a design to preview it in the map.
- To add a design to your study, select the checkbox next to the design.
- To add all designs, click Select All.
View new designs in the study
Once they’re added to your study, adjusted designs can be viewed in the “Adjusted” group on the “Explore” page. Each adjusted design will be evaluated for the same metrics as original designs.
You can view in-progress designs and compare, sort, filter, and add to reports.
