About social reporting in DoubleClick Campaign Manager

DoubleClick Campaign Manager (DCM) is the part of the DoubleClick Digital Marketing platform that you use to manage your digital display campaigns across websites and mobile devices. DCM includes a robust set of features for ad serving, targeting, verification, reporting, and attribution modeling.

If you manage social campaigns through DoubleClick Search (DS), you can use DCM to report on search and display campaigns as well as social campaigns tracked by DS.

To report on social campaigns tracked through DS, you can do either of the following:

  • Create a Paid Social report in DCM Report Builder.
    Report Builder can report on the same social metrics that are available in DS, and can include additional metrics.
  • View an Attribution report and include the Social channel, which includes data from all DoubleClick social tracking features (such as DS social engines and tracking Twitter campaigns from DCM).

DS data is available in Report Builder and DCM Attribution reports as soon as it's available in DS, with no additional wait time. You can include social data that reaches as far back as the onboarding of your social engine account in DS.

DCM only shows the Paid Social metrics, channel, and report template if you've created a social engine account in DS.

Special permissions required

To use DCM Report Builder to report on social metrics, your Google Account needs permission to access DCM Report Builder and your DCM user role needs to include permission to View DoubleClick Search data.

Google accounts with multiple user profiles in DoubleClick Campaign Manager are not supported in DoubleClick Search.If your Google account has been granted multiple user profiles in DCM, you won't be able to report on social metrics in DCM, even if your DCM profiles have the correct roles.
