Destination URL required in new Bing Ads ads
Bing Ads is migrating to Upgraded URLs which move the DoubleClick Search clickserver URLs that had previously been applied to keywords to a tracking template that can be applied at different levels of the hierarchy. That is, you can specify a tracking template at the account, campaign, ad group, ad, or keyword level. With Upgraded URLs, a destination URL is applied to keywords and ads, and the clickserver URL and any custom parameters are specified in a tracking template.
You may already be familiar with some of the changes that are required to switch to Upgraded URLs because AdWords accounts migrated several months ago.
Bing Ads migration to Upgraded URLs is not occurring immediately, but will happen over the next couple of months. To prepare for the migration and ensure that your Bing Ads accounts are set up for the migration, you are required to specify a destination URL in new ads. Learn more.
You can also add a destination URL to your existing Bing Ads ads in the DS user interface or by using a bulksheet. Learn more.
Note that when DoubleClick Search traffics a Bing Ads keyword, DS is no longer changing the ad’s destination URL to include param1.
