Report on product targets and PLA campaigns

Product targets were used by AdWords PLA campaigns to specify which products in a Google Merchant Center account should trigger Product Listing Ads (PLAs) to appear in related searches on Google. 

Product targets and PLA campaigns have been replaced by AdWords Shopping campaigns. From DS, you can still see historical metrics that were attributed to your PLA campaigns before the upgrade to Shopping campaigns.

  1. Navigate to an advertiser.
    Steps for navigating to an advertiser
    1. Click the navigation bar to display navigation options.

    2. In the Agency list, click on the agency that contains the advertiser. You can search for an agency by name or scroll through the list.

    3. In the Advertiser list, click on the advertiser.

    4. Click Apply or press the Enter key.

    DoubleClick Search displays the advertiser page, which contains data for all of the advertiser’s engine accounts.

  2. Click the Campaigns tab.
  3. Use a filter to display only PLA campaigns. For example, create this filter:
    Campaign type   is one of   Inventory - PLA
  4. Adjust the report's time range to include metrics from the time that your PLA campaigns were still active. (The last date for AdWords to support PLA campaigns was August 31, 2014.)

    1. In the left navigation pane, click All accounts.

    2. Click the navigation bar to display navigation options.

    3. In the Agency list, click on the agency that contains the advertiser. You can search for an agency by name or scroll through the list.

    4. In the Advertiser list, click on the advertiser that contains the engine account.

    5. In the Account list, click on the engine account.

    6. Click Apply or press the Enter key.

    DoubleClick Search displays the engine account page.

  2. Click the Targets ▼ tab and select Product targets.
  3. Adjust the report's time range to include metrics from the time that your PLA campaigns were still active. (The last date for AdWords to support PLA campaigns was August 31, 2014.)
