Retail: Improved support for Merchant Center multi-client accounts
To create AdWords Shopping campaigns in DoubleClick Search, you are required to link a Google Merchant Center account with your AdWords and DS accounts. Prior to this release, you had to link each subaccount in a Merchant Center multi-client account to DS. Now, you can link only the Merchant Center multi-client account to DS. Learn more.
Updated features
Retail: New options to display local inventory ads in Shopping campaigns
You can now use new options in Shopping campaigns and product groups to more easily manage and report on your local inventory ads along with your online Product Listing Ads (PLAs). Use the options to define the type of ads that display and to bid on products by group.
- Enable local inventory ads checkbox includes ads for in-store products in a Shopping campaign.
- Channel (Local or Online) segments products by online or local availability and indicates the type of ad that is displayed.
- Channel exclusivity (Single or Multi) segments products by availability in one of the channels or both.
Ad rotation settings for Bing Ads
If you create more than one ad in a Bing Ads ad group, Bing Ads can either rotate through the ads evenly or predominantly show ads that have the highest click-through rate (CTR). You can now use the DS UI or DS bulksheets to specify how Bing Ads should rotate ads in an ad group. Before this update, you could only set ad rotation from Bing Ads.
See the Bing Ads help center to learn more about ad rotation setting for Bing Ads ad groups.
