Set up Floodlight instructions

Create a Floodlight instruction

Only an agency manager or advertiser manager can add a Floodlight instruction. Learn more about agency managers and other user types in DoubleClick Search.

We recommend a maximum of 100 Floodlight instructions per advertiser.

  1. Navigate to an advertiser.

Steps for navigating to an advertiser
    1. Click the navigation bar to display navigation options.

    2. In the Agency list, click on the agency that contains the advertiser. You can search for an agency by name or scroll through the list.

    3. In the Advertiser list, click on the advertiser.

    4. Click Apply or press the Enter key.

DoubleClick Search displays the advertiser page, which contains data for all of the advertiser’s engine accounts.

  2. In the left nav, click Advertiser settings.

  3. Click the Floodlight instructions tab.
The current Floodlight instructions for the advertiser appear.

  4. Click the + Floodlight instruction button in the toolbar above the Floodlight instructions table.
The settings panel for the new Floodlight instruction appears.

  5. Select the level of Floodlight activity to apply the instruction to:
    • All Floodlight activities: Applies the Floodlight instruction to all Floodlight activities in the advertiser.
    • Floodlight activity group: Select a Floodlight activity group, and DoubleClick Search will apply the Floodlight instruction to all Floodlight activities in the group.
    • Floodlight activity: Select a Floodlight activity, and DoubleClick Search will apply the Floodlight instruction to that Floodlight activity.
  6. Select the Floodlight instruction type and enter the relevant properties.
Note that you can only apply a given Floodlight instruction type once per selected level, so some instruction types may not be available.

  7. Click Save.
DoubleClick Search adds the Floodlight instruction to the table.
