Schedule a sync

DoubleClick Search (DS) Sync allows you to import the changes from a search engine account into the account it’s mapped to in DS. You can run a synchronization (sync for short) at any time, and you also have the option of scheduling a sync to run at the same time every day:

  • The sync will run daily based on the time you enter, which is based on your browser’s time zone.

  • The schedule should take effect immediately. For example, if it’s currently 9:00 AM and you schedule a sync for 9:30 AM, the first scheduled sync will run on that same day.

  • If you set up a sync schedule, you can still manually sync the account at any time.

  • You can choose a time in half-hour increments from the time dropdown, or you can manually enter any hour:minute combination (for example, 7:32).

  • DS will not sync objects with trafficking errors as a part of a scheduled sync. To clear these errors, you can run a manual sync with the Fix all trafficking errors check box selected.

  • You can turn off the schedule at any time; just change the frequency dropdown from Daily to Manual.

Steps to schedule a sync:

You must be an agency manager to have access to edit an engine account in DoubleClick Search. Learn more about agency managers and other user types in DoubleClick Search.
  1. Navigate to an advertiser.

  2. Click the Engine accounts tab.
  3. In the engine accounts table, select the check box next to an engine account.
    If you select multiple engine accounts, you’ll need to set the schedules for each one.

  4. Click ▼ Edit in the toolbar above the engine accounts table and select Edit details... from the dropdown.

  5. Under Sync details, change the value in the dropdown from Manual to Daily.

  6. Select the time you want the sync to run every day.

  7. Click Save.
