Customize the data in your tables and reports

You can customize a reporting table to see just the data that interests you. If you then download the report, it will contain the data as you customized it in your table.

Adjust the date range

Click the date range near the top right of the page. Choose from a group of pre-set ranges or set your own custom date range. The performance summary graph and table automatically adjust to show you the data for the date range of your choice.

View performance summary graphs

Get a visual overview of your account's performance by viewing the performance summary graphs.

  1. Click a metric in the summary of data below the graph, and the graph will update to be based on that metric. For example, click the Clicks metric, and the graph will show click data.
  2. To add a second metric, click the Select a metric dropdown.
  3. Hover over a point in the graph to display the date and value of the selected metric.

Add or remove columns

To add or remove columns that appear in the table, click the Columns button in the toolbar above the performance summary graph. In the selection tool that appears, columns are organized around features and interests (categories) so you can easily explore related columns. For example, if you're a bid strategy position goal user, you can navigate to Bid strategy > Position to see the columns that might interest you.

You can add all the columns in a category or select individual columns. On the righthand side, you can drag and drop columns to change their order in reports, and delete them as necessary.

When you're done, click Apply. You can then save the view and select it for viewing at any time.

Apply segments to view ad and keyword performance at the same time

You can use the Segment option to view ad and keyword performance on one page. This will show you how each ad/keyword combination is performing. Segments that you've applied to the data in the table appear in your report as columns.

On the Ads or Keywords page, click the Segment button in the toolbar above the performance summary graph and select the level of detail you'd like to apply to the data in your table.

  • Break down your keywords by the ads the user clicked after using the keyword as a search term.

  • Break down your ads by the keywords the user searched on before clicking the ad.

Filter your data

Use filters to sift your data down to just the campaigns, ad groups, ads, or keywords that you care about. You can filter on statistics such as clicks, impressions, or transactions, as well as attributes like campaign budget or keyword name. You can also use filters as a search tool, to find specific information such as keyword text, bids, or clickthrough rates.

Create a filter: click Filter in the toolbar above the performance summary graph. Once you've created a filter, you can save it for easy access in the future.

Add multiple terms in one attribute: You can use pipes | to filter by multiple terms in one attribute field. This achieves the same effect as an OR filter. For example, if you have an attribute of Campaign Contains Car | Truck | Boat, DoubleClick Search will return campaigns that have at least one of car, truck, or boat in their name.

Filter by specific rows: You can also choose the specific rows you want to see in a UI reporting table. Select the check boxes next to the rows and click the Filter to selected button above the table. This allows you to easily chart any campaign, ad group, keyword, etc.

Use full-screen table mode

If you’d like to see more rows in the reporting table, click the arrow directly beneath the summary of data.
